change ssh shell port to 1440
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
1) First log in to shell

2) Locate sshd_config or

find / -iname sshd_config

Hint: Usually it will be under /etc/ssh/sshd_config

3) Now edit the configuration file enter the port no on port value

vi sshd_config
 port 1440

4) save and quit

5) If csf is installed make the following changes

vi /etc/csf/csf.conf

6) Add the custom port values in the following:

TCP_in = "1440"
 TCP_out = "1440"

7) Save and quit

/etc/init.d/sshd restart
 csf -r

Note: Before logging out please check the change of port using another terminal coz if any issue persist you may have a chance of locking out of the server.
